Superintendent of Police (SP) Sachin Hiremath has constituted a special investigating team (SIT) to probe into the allegations of the licensing authorities of some other states having issued fake driving licences to some persons while their Aaadhar Cards mentioned their addresses in Una district. The Himachal Pradesh High Court, while hearing a public interest litigation in the Rohit Sharma vs the State of HP and others case, issued notices to several state government respondents, including the Una SP as respondent number 5. As per the orders, the SP Una had been directed to lodge an FIR and initiate an investigation by constituting an SIT headed by a senior police officer at the earliest, without waiting for the outcome of the court proceedings.
