Union Home Minister Amit Shah visited Kolkata on Monday to mark Syama Prasad Mookherjee's 125th birth anniversary. He performed the bhoomi pujan and laid the foundation stone for a 125-ft statue in New Town, visited Mookherjee's ancestral home and attended a commemorative event. During his address, Shah said pending CAA certificates would be issued soon and reaffirmed the BJP's commitment to UCC.
