India’s first bullet train corridor has achieved major construction progress in Maharashtra’s Thane-Palghar section, with 74 km of piers ready for viaduct girders. NHSRCL said work is underway on over 100 km of elevated structures, while three of seven mountain tunnels have achieved breakthroughs. Major river bridges and stations at Thane, Virar and Boisar are also under construction.
