Bombay HC Extends Year-Round Ban On Bursting Firecrackers On Public Roads, Streets And Footpaths
The Bombay High Court has extended its ban on bursting firecrackers on public roads, streets and footpaths throughout the year and across all festivals. It directed the Maharashtra government, BMC and MPCB to strengthen public awareness, promote lower-emission crackers and establish mechanisms for reporting violations.
