Ho Chi Minh City culls nearly 7,400 animals amid disease outbreaks, rabies vaccination at only 42%
Ho Chi Minh City has culled 7,393 animals weighing more than 329 metric tons due to disease outbreaks since the beginning of 2026, while only 42.1 percent of the city s dogs and cats have been vaccinated against rabies, according to the municipal Department of Agriculture and Environment.
