An Oklahoma homeowner who bought five acres of land from his grandfather in 1994 has learned that local authorities claim ownership of a narrow strip of land right next to his house, which is now set to be sold at a public tax auction. Thirty-two years after buying the rural property, the homeowner was told by Oklahoma County officials that a 40-foot strip of land just inches from his front door technically belongs to the county.
