Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov accused Western governments of allowing Kyiv to “get away with everything” during remarks at the fourth Congress of the International Russophile Movement in Moscow. Lavrov criticized Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and alleged that Nazi criminals’ remains had been brought from European countries for ceremonial reburial in Ukraine. He also condemned plans he said involved creating a “pantheon of heroes” at the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, calling the reported actions “satanism.” Lavrov contrasted Europe with the United States, saying Washington was willing to engage in dialogue with Moscow. His remarks come amid continuing tensions between Russia, Ukraine and Western governments over the war and prospects for diplomacy.
