Airoli–Kalwa Rail Corridor Hits 45% Progress, But Rehabilitation Of 436 Families Stalls Work
Work on Mumbai’s Airoli–Kalwa Elevated Suburban Corridor has reached 45% completion as of May 2026, MRVC said. The ₹476-crore MUTP project aims to link Central Railway and Trans-Harbour lines to ease congestion and improve connectivity. Land acquisition and rehabilitation delays in Shivaji Nagar remain key hurdles before full-scale construction progresses further, officials said.
