Four people have been booked for allegedly misappropriating money and gold belonging to Kaushalya Nichani, an elderly Chembur woman who lived alone, police said. The complainant alleged the accused collectively diverted about ₹1.18 crore and 45-50 tolas of gold. Chembur Police registered the FIR after Nichani's death and are investigating the alleged property, bank and locker transactions.
