Nepal, India Discuss Expanding Cross-Border Electricity Trade
Nepal’s Independent Power Producers’ Association met Indian Ambassador Naveen Srivastava in Kathmandu to discuss expanding hydropower cooperation and cross-border electricity trade. IPPAN President Mohan Kumar Dangi led the delegation, which highlighted growing exports to India. The talks followed the 2024 long-term power trade agreement under which Nepal aims to export 10,000 MW over a decade.
