Israeli President Isaac Herzog has urged political leaders to avoid another election as coalition talks begin following a closely contested vote. With the major blocs struggling to secure a parliamentary majority, Herzog has called on party leaders to approach negotiations with an open mind. He also praised the strong voter turnout despite the political uncertainty, as attention turns to the formation of Israel’s next government.
