Vadhavan Port Connectivity Project: Bombay HC Allows Felling Of 208 Mangroves For 8-Lane Highway Link To NH-48

The Bombay High Court has allowed NHAI to divert 9.2498 hectares of mangrove forest land and cut 208 mangrove trees for an eight-lane highway connecting the upcoming Vadhavan Port to NH-48. The court cited the project's public importance and noted that environmental, forest and compensatory afforestation requirements had been fulfilled.
