A 44-year-old man, Sanjay Bindeshwari Prasad Maurya of Bhiwandi, was detained for allegedly damaging a white marble statue of Jesus Christ at Siddhibaba Temple, Worli, on 7 June. The suspect reportedly removed the statue from the cross, breaking its left hand. Alert onlookers intercepted him, and police took him into custody.
