Bombay HC Declares Businessman's Arrest Illegal Over Failure To Provide Proper Grounds Of Arrest
The Bombay High Court declared a Mumbai businessman's arrest in a rape and extortion case illegal after finding that police failed to provide proper written grounds of arrest as required by the Constitution and the BNSS. The court quashed the remand orders but allowed police to take fresh action in accordance with law.
