THE worlds largest dam is coming up in one of the worlds most geopolitically treacherous and seismically unstable regions. Just a few kilometres from the heavily militarised border with India, China is constructing a hydropower project in Tibet on the Yarlung Tsangpo, the worlds highest-altitude major river, better known as the Brahmaputra.
