Nearly 200 people were reported killed in approximately 48 hours as Yemen’s civil war erupted into its bloodiest fighting in years. Houthi forces are advancing through western Taiz and southern Hodeidah towards the government-controlled port of Mokha and the strategically vital Bab al-Mandab Strait.
