Vaibhav Suryavanshi breaks all-time Duleep Trophy record as a teenager: Times the young cricketer has made history
At 15, Vaibhav Suryavanshi is already building a cricket record book that many players spend an entire career chasing. On August 31, the teenager added another unusual entry to it, becoming the youngest batter to score a half-century in Duleep Trophy history.Playing for East Zone against Central Zone in the semifinal in Bengaluru, Suryavanshi smashed 92 from 81 balls. He reached his fifty in only 42 deliveries, with seven fours and seven sixes in the innings. At 15 years and 157 days, he went past Laxman Singh's 57-year-old record. Singh had scored a Duleep Trophy fifty at 16 years and 23 days in 1969.
