Nicki Minaj as the next White House press secretary? Jimmy Fallon has turned Katie Zacharia’s brief five-day stint into a late-night comedy roast, with a surprise twist involving the rap superstar. On The Tonight Show, Fallon poked fun at Zacharia’s first and only press briefing, joking about her answers, her verbal slip and how quickly her time in the role ended. The sketch reached its punchline when a mock announcement from Donald Trump named Nicki Minaj as the next press secretary. The announcement was part of the comedy segment, not a real appointment, as Zacharia’s abrupt exit continues to draw attention.
