U.S. 'Prioritises' Own Arsenal First; Ally Faces Dangerous Delay Amid China Tensions | Report - Times of India Videos

A Financial Times report says the United States has informed Japan about possible major delays in the delivery of 400 Tomahawk cruise missiles after American stockpiles were heavily depleted during the Iran war earlier this year. The missiles were part of a 2.35 billion dollar deal signed in 2024 and were originally expected by 2028. According to the report, the Pentagon used more than 850 missiles during Operation Epic Fury against Iran, forcing Washington to prioritise rebuilding its own arsenal first. The development is now raising concerns in Tokyo as Japan continues strengthening its military posture amid growing tensions with China in the Indo-Pacific region.
