Farmers Keep Away From Selling Moong At Centres, Only 7K Tonnes Procured
Madhya Pradesh has procured only 7,000 tonnes of moong since July 1 against the Centre's target of 4.55 lakh tonnes. Farmers are selling below the MSP due to procurement restrictions. The state has sought a higher procurement limit, while farmer bodies demand relaxation of the norms.
