A mural of rapper Macklemore has been painted in Gaza follwing his removal from Ed Sheeran’s tour after making comments in support of Palestine. The image was painted by artists Anne Redwan and Qusai al-Helo, who say they created it in support of the musician after a week of controversy which saw the 43-year-old, real name Benjamin Haggerty, dropped from the tour after performing a song dedicated to pro-Palestinian protesters. Depicting Haggerty draped in a Palestinian flag with his fist raised, a message accompanying the image reads: "Thank you for using your voice for Palestine.”
