Himachal’s first Hindi feature film, Khoonta, continues to draw an encouraging response since its release in Solan on September 18. Residents have thronged all three places to watch the film, which depicts the unwavering faith in Mahasu Devta, which is revered in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. The audience praised Anushi Sharma, who plays the protagonist and has also written and directed the film. Viewers also lauded the performance of 13-year-old Solan boy Rishan Verma, who plays the role of Kamlu. The movie had created a buzz in Himachal Pradesh after the release of its teaser and enthusiastic families have since visited various multiplexes to watch it.
