Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, or IRGC, has reportedly organized public weapons training sessions for civilians as tensions continue to rise across the Middle East. Footage from the city of Bojnord showed large crowds learning how to handle firearms in displays of support for Iran’s armed forces following recent regional escalations involving the U.S. and Israel. The drills have fueled concerns that Tehran may be preparing the public for a wider confrontation as military rhetoric intensifies around the Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz.
