Zohran Mamdani’s new media operation is facing fresh scrutiny as his New Media chief Emilia Winter Rowland comes under fire over her criticism of wealthy media owners and the “legacy press.” According to The New York Post, Rowland comes from a family with long-standing connections to public relations and media. She is also reportedly overseeing a Signal network of around 250 influencers that distributes Mamdani administration messaging. Questions have also been raised over disappearing messages in some chats and potential record-keeping requirements.
