Indias wind energy industry has visibility of around 85 GW of capacity that could be commissioned before 2030, putting it broadly on track to meet the governments 100 GW wind power target, Suzlon Energy co-founder Girish Tanti told ET. He identified grid readiness and continuity in the bidding pipeline as key challenges, while suggesting that India could target 400 GW of wind capacity by 2047 as renewable energy penetration increases.
