Govt Must Undertake Redevelopment On Its Own Land, Cannot Remain ‘Dormant Landlord’: Bombay HC
The Bombay High Court has said the State Government and public bodies must proactively redevelop their own land instead of allowing encroachments and prolonged litigation to stall projects. The court noted that a 66,000-sq-metre Chembur slum rehabilitation project has remained stalled since 2006 and called for time-bound execution.
