A major tragedy was averted in Bhiwandi after a retaining wall of a residential building collapsed amid heavy monsoon rain in Prabhu Ali area around midnight. CCTV footage showed the structure giving way within seconds. No injuries were reported as the area was deserted. Locals said nearby excavation and continuous rain weakened the wall before the collapse occurred.
