This article in the Wall Street Journal is a joke, right? Mark Zuckerberg can’t really claim he’s opposed to centralized power? He can’t really believe he’s a defender of “human potential”? This is the guy who just fired thousands of employees so he could use the cash to build a data center as large as Manhattan. But he can’t be fired himself—because Mr Z restricts the voting rights of most shareholders. This is the guy who hides criminal activity on his platform so he can keep making money off of it. This is the guy who knew his endlessly scrolling interface turns kids into dopamine addicts, but pushed it on them anyway. This is the same guy who sells my private information, replaces individual choice with algorithmic control, force feeds AI on the public at every turn, and will shadowban me for just posting a link. Mr. Z is the poster child for centralized, self-serving, undemocratic power. He’s the problem, not the solution. https://www.wsj.com/opinion/the-ai-future-is-for-everyone-a0c24e20?st=LzgqDT&reflink=article_copyURL_share
