The Himachal Pradesh High Court has directed the Deputy Commissioner, Kinnaur, Arun Kumar Sharma, and Himachal Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (HPPCL) to deploy two additional machines at Lippa to expedite the removal of debris and tackle water accumulation following repeated debris flow in the area. The direction was passed after the Deputy Commissioner appeared personally before the court in compliance with its earlier order dated July 14 and filed an affidavit detailing the steps taken by the district administration and various government agencies for the restoration of the affected area.
