The FSSAI has issued notices to Nestlé India and Hindustan Unilever over alleged misleading claims and regulatory violations involving Resource Renal powder and Horlicks Mother's Plus Kesar. The regulator flagged claims linking Horlicks to healthy birth weight and the lack of prior approval and mandatory labelling on Nestlé's renal nutrition product. Both companies have been asked to explain the alleged non-compliances.
