Zirakpur school organises workshop on ‘Nasha Mukti' - The Tribune
VB International Senior Secondary School, Zirakpur, organised a comprehensive awareness workshop on ‘Nasha Mukti (Drug-Free Living), Personal Hygiene and Ayurvedic Nutrition’ to educate students about the importance of leading a healthy and disciplined lifestyle. The workshop aimed to create awareness among young minds about the ill-effects of drug abuse and the significance of preventive healthcare. Resource persons explained the physical, mental and social consequences of substance abuse and encouraged students to become ambassadors of a drug-free society. The session also emphasised the importance of maintaining personal hygiene through regular handwashing, oral care, cleanliness and healthy daily habits to prevent diseases. Students were further introduced to the principles of Ayurvedic nutrition, highlighting the benefits of consuming fresh, seasonal and balanced food for stronger immunity, better concentration and overall well-being. The interactive session witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and faculty members. Addressing the gathering, the Principal appreciated the initiative and stressed that awareness and value-based education are essential in shaping responsible, healthy and socially conscious citizens. The workshop concluded with a pledge by all students to remain drug-free, maintain good hygiene and adopt healthy dietary practices, reinforcing the school’s commitment to holistic education and nation-building.
