Madhya Pradesh has removed the mandatory land requirement for recognition of private schools under revised guidelines. Schools without their own playground can use one within 500 metres. The rules also allow two campuses, mandate science laboratories for higher classes and biometric teacher attendance. The MP Private School Association has opposed some provisions.
