Ladakh's administration has made significant strides in environmental management by effectively channeling millions of litres of glacier runoff daily, which has notably increased water efficiency and enhanced agricultural sustainability in the region. They have successfully reduced the unutilized water flowing into the Indus river from ninety million litres down to five million litres.
