Bombay HC Rules OCI Cardholder Can Seek Protection Under Senior Citizens Act
The Bombay High Court has ruled that an OCI cardholder cannot be denied protection under the Senior Citizens Act merely because she is not an Indian citizen. The court held that a parent need not be an Indian citizen or above 60 years of age to seek benefits under the law and restored the Maintenance Tribunal’s order in a Juhu flat dispute.
