161 MP Police Officials Demoted After DPC Review Over Allegedly Concealed Criminal Cases, Punishments
Madhya Pradesh Police has demoted 161 officials, including 78 inspectors and 83 sub-inspectors, after a DPC review found they had allegedly concealed criminal cases, departmental punishments and other offences during promotions. Their cases may be reconsidered after court proceedings or punishments conclude. The next DPC meeting is scheduled for November.
