‘Friendship With Terrorism?’: Jaishankar’s Hard-Hitting Warning To Trump’s ‘Favorite General’ In UN - Times of India Videos
India’s External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar delivered a sharp warning against governments that support or sponsor terrorism during his address at the United Nations General Assembly. Without directly naming Pakistan, Jaishankar said governments indulging in state-sponsored terrorism must be held accountable and warned against any attempt to “normalize terrorism” or claim immunity from its consequences. Jaishankar also made a pointed reference to the previous day’s speech, saying a “serial practitioner of terrorism” had misrepresented facts before the UN General Assembly. Declaring that “that will not stand,” Jaishankar said India’s right to defend itself against terrorism would be exercised. He also delivered a strong message on bilateral ties, saying “friendship and goodwill cannot coexist with terrorism” and that the perpetrator must “mend its ways.”
