Maharashtra Govt Approves Major Revisions To Welfare Schemes For Construction Workers With Enhanced Compensation And Pensions
Maharashtra government revised four welfare schemes for registered construction workers, increasing financial aid, pensions and education benefits. Labour Minister Akash Fundkar said families will receive ₹3.5 lakh for natural death and ₹6.5 lakh for accidental death. The reforms also include pensions up to ₹12,000 annually, maternity support and expanded assistance for children’s education.
