Private equity and venture capital (PE-VC) investments in India surged to $8.02 billion in Oct, the highest monthly tally so far in 2026, with a single $5.6 billion bank deal accounting for about 70% of the total. The surge came despite a decline in the number of transactions, according to data from Venture Intelligence (VI).
