‘Bodycam Footage….’: Lorenzo Salgado Case Shock Twist; Houston Mayor Drops ICE ‘Hiding’ Proof - Times of India Videos
The Department of Homeland Security has confirmed that the ICE agents involved in the fatal shooting of Lorenzo Salgado Araujo in Houston were not wearing body cameras, answering one of the biggest questions surrounding the controversial case. DHS said the lack of body-worn cameras was due to delays caused by repeated federal funding lapses, adding that cameras have already been deployed to more than half of ICE field offices, with the remaining offices expected to receive them within 60 days. The revelation comes as Houston lawmakers, civil rights advocates and Araujo's family continue demanding transparency, an independent investigation and answers over the deadly July 7 immigration enforcement operation.
