Observing that “a dignified cremation is a right which deserves to be respected”, the Punjab and Haryana High Court on Tuesday directed a fresh postmortem examination of Daljit Singh, whose death in Mansa triggered protests and tension, at PGIMER, Chandigarh, followed by his cremation under adequate police protection.
