AT some personal cost, a woman from Sangrur goes to a police station in Anandpur Sahib and names a senior office-bearer of the Shiromani Akali Dal and the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC). She alleges rape, wrongful confinement and criminal intimidation in a series of incidents between February and August 2026. She then repeats that account, formally and on oath, before a judicial magistrate.
