Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth told senators that the Trump administration now estimates the conflict with Iran has cost $37.5 billion, a sharp increase from earlier Pentagon estimates.Testifying before lawmakers, Hegseth said the figure includes projected military costs through the end of the current fiscal year on September 30. The updated estimate comes after a Defense Department official told Congress in late April that the conflict had cost roughly $25 billion at that time.
