Russia’s Defence Ministry has released combat footage that it says shows FPV drone crews from the Tsentr Battlegroup disrupting a Ukrainian troop rotation near Dobropolye in the Donetsk region. According to Moscow, reconnaissance operators detected Ukrainian personnel and vehicles moving toward forward positions before transmitting their coordinates to nearby attack-drone teams. The FPVs were then flown directly into the identified targets, allegedly preventing troops from reinforcing the frontline. The claims and precise results have not been independently verified. The operation illustrates how persistent aerial surveillance and inexpensive strike drones are making even routine movement increasingly dangerous: troops can be detected on roads or forest belts, tracked within minutes and attacked before reaching the trenches.
