US President Donald Trump has acknowledged that the Iran war and rising gasoline prices contributed to Republican losses in the midterm elections. In interviews with Fox News and The Wall Street Journal, Trump admitted that the conflict with Tehran became a factor influencing American voters, while maintaining that the US economy remains strong. Trump argued that higher fuel costs had overshadowed economic performance but insisted he had no regrets about launching military operations against Iran. Describing the economic fallout as temporary, he maintained that the conflict would deliver long-term gains. The admission comes as Democrats prepare to take control of both chambers of Congress, raising fresh questions over the domestic political costs of Trump's Iran war.
