Thane Women Create Eco-Friendly Ganesha Idols, Promote Sustainable Ganeshotsav Through Community Initiative
Women professionals from Thane’s Shrirang Society created sustainable Ganesha idols using natural mud during a 10-12-day workshop. Guided by artisan Aditi Date, participants included doctors, artists and authors who committed to home immersion of idols. The clay will be reused for gardening or future sculpting, helping reduce festival waste and pollution.
