The Uttar Pradesh Cabinet approved changes to simplify the tenancy system for annual rents up to ₹10 lakh. Minister Ravindra Jaiswal said the revised fee structure will reduce the burden on people renting houses, shops and warehouses. Under the new system, fees will be fixed at ₹1,000, ₹3,000 and ₹4,500 based on annual rent slabs.
