From August 1, MSRTC will make the National Common Mobility Card mandatory for concessional bus travel, starting with women, senior citizens & Amrit Senior Citizen passengers. The move aims to curb misuse of fake IDs & improve transparency. Over 51 lakh users registered & 25 lakh cards activated. Cards cost ₹199, require ₹100 minimum balance, & will be expanded to other categories in phases.
