Bhopal NGT Order: BMC Faces Action Over Untreated Sewage, Tree Damage And Wetland Issues
The NGT’s Bhopal bench has directed authorities to act against alleged tree damage, untreated sewage discharge and construction violations in wetland areas. A committee found seven damaged trees in Professors’ Colony and 8-10 MLD wastewater entering the Lower Lake. The tribunal also sought reports on wetland compliance and sewage treatment measures.
